Look at me, taking a part in a readathon that someone here had no interest until this morning. I knew this readathon would be popping up soon and apparently its tomorrow, which is also the week that I was planning on reading the Grishaverse and King of Scars so yeah.
I feel like 2019 became the year where I’m doing all this weird stuff that I never thought I would be doing: backlist book challenge, a few readathons, and my usual goodreads challenge which is set up to 160.
Read your most recently purchased or acquired contemporary
I recently went to the library and picked up a few contemporary to do the Backlist books challenge, this one was in that pile.
Read a contemporary with blurple (blue or purple) on the cover
I know it says I’m currently reading it, but I really haven’t picked it up.
Read a diverse contemporary keeping in mind its African heritage month and an own voices African author would be a great pick
It’s sad that this a book that was the only diverse book I really had that featured African Americans
Read a dark, taboo, or emotional book
Pretty Little Liars isn’t pretty, and I know it says I’m reading it, but I haven’t even picked it up much, in favor of other books
Read a contemporary you meant to read in 2018 but didn’t get to
I had this since November 2018, and it’s about time I read it because I have one more renewal than I’m done.
Read a contemporary in a non-traditional format (ebook, audio, graphic novel etc)
Skipping this one
Read a contemporary with a picture on the spine (not a color or pattern but an image)
It has an image and it literally draws me, also it’s on my backlist books that I’m trying to get through.
What do you think of my TBR for this week? I’m very anxious to see what happens this week, and at least all of these are on my TBRish.
