Hi all! My name is Lori, and I’m a fifteen-year-old girl from Colorado. I’m currently a freshman in high school, and enjoying it so far. I’m a bookworm who loves writing anything from fanfic to writing reviews, I also write weird things at times.
I’m never the one for having a good introduction, because I really don’t know what to say. I’ve been blogging since 2017, but recently started it up back in May 2018, and I found that blogging was one of my passions and it’s the one thing I’m mostly seen doing.
My Favorite Authors:
Leigh Bardugo: I haven’t read her Grishaverse yet, but I’m planning on doing it really soon. I find that she is a really talented author and one of my favorite books of hers is Six of Crows.
Laini Taylor: I have yet to find a book that she wrote that I didn’t like. Strange the Dreamer was the first book I fell in love with, and decided to see what else she wrote. She writes so majestically and I’m always in awe of what she writes. It’s so flowery while always keeping the point, and not letting her plot drag. Her books are certainly unique, and am always looking to see what else she writes in the future.
Marie Lu: Marie Lu is one of the authors I’ve discovered through blogging, and I always found her books to be unique. While I still haven’t read all of her books yet, hopefully this is the year I do, because she is such a good author.
J.K. Rowling: I’m always thinking that J.K. Rowling was the one who brought the love of reading in me. Harry Potter was possibly one of the books I’ve read the most throughout my childhood and was never seen reading a book that wasn’t Harry Potter.
Cassandra Clare: I read City of Bones a few years back out of curiosity and fell in love with the shadowhunter world. While I do think that the Mortal Instruments is a bit boring, and her writing style sucks, but in the later books, her writing really has changed and including representation that is normally not included in YA, makes her one of my favorite authors. She is always a must-buy author for me.
Sarah J. Maas: I like reading her books. She is a bit problematic with a few things , but her writing style is quite engaging. I’m always entertained with her books.
Rick Riordan: Rick Riordan is an author I’ve never imagined that I would read especially since mythology has never really interested me in any sorts. I own all of his books and slowly getting through them and finding really well-written. His writing style is really good, and he’s also a must-buy author from me.
These are the books I’ve mostly read, but I’m slowly branching out into other genres especially non-fiction, and all the other genres.
Other Things About Me:
I could play the flute. I’ve been playing it for a few years now, and loving it.
I’ve been more confident about myself more than ever, and I’ve actually made a few new friends compared to my loner self from my middle school years. While none of my friends are readers, we still share a few views on things
I like talking about my life and what’s happening. One of my family members has cancer so I’m always making updates about what is going on with him, because I’m extremely close to him more than my other family members.
Music is a big part of my life. I’m always listening to music especially my favorite artists especially when I blog, and music is currently playing while I’m doing this.
Traveling is one of my favorite things to do. I love seeing new places, especially if there places I’ve never been too.
